With the Cold War winding down, James Bond's adventure are just warming up, Lured by a Russian defector into a case of high-tech espionage, Bond finds himself at odds with a maniacal American arms dealer (Joe Don Baker) who leads him on a trail across some of the most exotic locales on the globe. Along the way, Bond makes the aquanticed of a knockout Czech concert cellist (Maryam d'Abo), with whom he makes beautiful music.
